• If there is an open circuit (bad bulb, unscrewed bulb, faulty wire...), the ballast will turn off.
• If bulb turns off, the ballast will only attempt to ignite for 2 seconds once every 10 minutes until the bulb strikes, rather than supplying continuously high voltage to a bulb that is off. This greatly extends the life of bulbs.
• Bulb power is steadily increased as bulb brightens, & at maximum brightness power output is continuous. This soft start & continuous power output also extend the life of your bulb.
