The Agapanthus Blue, 'Agapanthus', produce buds that start out a steel-blue to blackish and stand up firmly and then they bloom out to a lavender blue and droop down. Agapanthus is also commonly known as the Lily of the Nile, African Blue Lily, and African Lily. The big flowers are comprised of up to 100 tiny tubular florets that are framed by deep green, strap-like leaves.
