Each flower stem can have over 50 octopus blooms that dance over the deeply cut foliage. Campanula 'Pink Octopus' flowers weep down from the upright flowering branches above strong, deeply cut foliage. This perennial is quite long-blooming, particularly if the flowers are deadheaded promptly. It needs a period of dormancy before flowering, but will return for many years to amaze guests and inspire double-takes in garden and containers. Campanula grows best in fertile soil with a neutral to alkaline pH. Lime can be added to the soil to obtain these conditions. Keep the soil moist but make sure it is well-drained.
