buy Cauliflower - Freemont - Organic Cauliflower - Freemont - Organic

Brassica Freemont (USDA Organic) Cauliflower, Brassica oleracea 'Fremont (Cauliflower)', is a very dependable and adaptable cauliflower variety. 'Freemont' is a uniform but self-blanching type. It is an annual plant in which only the head (the white curd) is eaten while the stalk and surrounding thick, green leaves are used in vegetable broth or discarded. Cauliflower is very nutritious, and may be eaten cooked, raw or pickled. The preferred garden soil for cauliflower is well drained, moist and has significant organic matter with a pH of 6 to 7. . 'Fremont' is a very popular variety with 2 to 2.5 pound heads that are white and do well when planted, either late-spring or early summer. You will receive a dependable yield with Fremont. In cooler regions, like the Maritime Northwest, cauliflower can be grown for summer and fall harvest. In milder areas with longer growing seasons and less risk of heavy freezes, they can overwinter, and be harvested in the spring. (Click Merchant link below for full description)
