Honeysuckle - Blanche Sandman
Honeysuckle - Blanche Sandman, Lonicera sempervirens 'Blanche Sandman', is an exceptionally long and profusely flowering variety that requires support in order to climb. Its stems are often red to purple, turning greenish brown with age. Leaves are rounded and opposite. The unscented, typical honeysuckle-shaped flowers are very showy, with an orange-red exterior and yellow-orange throat. The hummingbirds love it! Plant it in a compost-rich, moisture retentive soil. Not picky about soil, but does not do well in standing water. Give full sun for best flowering, but provide afternoon shade in areas with very hot summers. Let your creative side take over and use this fast-growing native beauty on a fence, trellis or other garden feature. (Click Merchant link below for full description)
